Chapter 8 : Easter

Jess and his family had plan to go to church on Easter. Since his mom had a big fallout with the preacher, Easter is the only time Jess and his family actually goes to church. His mom was going shopping for new church clothes, but something happened. Jess' dad came home from Washington early. The family soon learned that he got fired. That meant no new clothes. No church. Everyone was complaining about the situation. Leslie came to see Jess who was the only one not in the house. He told Leslie his dad got fired and didn't want to talk about it. Leslie then told Jess she wanted to go to church with him and his family. Jess was surprised. He thought Leslie wouldn't like something as boring as church.

This reminds me of when my mom lost her job. It was 2005. My mom had her third child a year before. She was home and got a call from her co-worker and friend Silvia. Silvia said that the old man that they took care of had died. He was taken to the hospital and died there. It was tough a little, but we didn,t live like poor people. My little brother's dad helped my mom out with money and soon, my mom got a second job doing the samething, but took care of a Jewish woman name Annie, who is really funny.

HW # 57

I think high school would be harder than middle school . It would be harder work and more work. I might have to stay up late with a lot of homework. I think it would more fun. I might get to do more interesting things in high school. Like participation in different activities. I think it would be an interesting four years.

Yes I think middle school will prepare me for high school. I'm specifically talking about 8th grade. I might learn some things about high school in 6th and 7th grade, but 8th grade is right before high school. So I will learn a lot about high school in 8th grade.

There's not very much that I want to know about high school. I just want to get through with middle school and hurry up and head to high school. A new era in my school life.

Chapter 7 : The Golden Room ( continue )

There is a problem one day at school. Its Janice Avery. Leslie saw her sitting on the toilet seat in the girls room crying. Jess was surprised and shocked. No one has ever seen her cry like that before. Jess' first thought was that people were teasing her about the fake note sent to Willard Hughes, but he knows no one teased her about it before. Leslie decided to go back into the bathroom and find out what's wrong. At the end of the day, Leslie told Jesse that Janice was crying because her dad beats her. She also told Jess that they were having a little chat with Janice and they have become kind of like friends. Jesse was stunned at the whole situation.

I remember when I was in the fourth grade and I started crying one day at lunchtime. I wouldn't tell anybody what was wrong. People kept asking me, but I just would't crack. The only person that got me to talk was the guidance counselor, Ms.Jolly. I had a personal problem and we discussed it together. She even had my mom come in to talk about the problem. She gave me a tip. If I don't want to talk about my problems, I can jot them down in a journal.

Chapter 7 : The Golden Room

So far in the chapter, Jess is unhappy. Leslie doesn't have time to spend with Jesse. She is helping her father with their home. I would say Jess is jealous of the fact that Leslie is spending more time with her father than with him. She doesn't have to spend all her time with Jess. Jess was even afraid to go into Terabithia by himself. To him, it was more magical with Leslie there with him.

Like Jess, feel left out sometimes. Me and my brother used to do a lot together. We would play wrestling and talk a lot. We still talk, but I would like to spend more time with him. He's sixteen and has a lot of friends who he talks to more than he does to me. I would just want at least another wrestling match with Tevin ( my brother ) and I'll be okay.

Chapter 5 - Giant Killers : One morning Jess, Leslie, and May Belle were on the school bus. May Belle was talking to her friend and screamed to her that she got twinkies. Since she wouldn't stop talking about the twinkies, Jesse told her to shut up. Her response was, " You just jealous daddy didn't bring you none." Then at recess, May Belle ran to Jess and Leslie screaming. "She stole my twinkies. You got to kill Janice Avery. Kill her! Kill her! Kill her!" Jess said, " May Belle, didn't I tell you." Leslie tried to show May Belle comfort, but she wanted revenge. So Leslie and Jess said they will come up with a way for get Janice back. That afternoon, Jess and Leslie went to Terabithia to come up with a plan to get Janice Avery. They soon came up with the plan to write a note to Janice and pretend that it's from Willard Hughes, a boy Janice likes. While at school, Willard's friend Billy told Janice's friend Wilma that she should tell Janice to stop " spreading " the rumor about Willard likes her. While on the way home on the school bus, Janice came stomping on the bus. " Did'cha ", May Belle asked Jess and Leslie. When they said yes, May Belle was really happy.

Like how Jess and Leslie looked out for May Belle, a few friends and I looked out for my friend Mark. A boy kept bullying him and taking his rings. So one day, Mark came to me and my other friends that the kid picking on him again. So we came to confront him. We all surrounded him and three of my friends grabed the boy and started hitting him. Mark was greatful to have friends like us.
