HW # 79

1. In The Greek Gods, the author uses mostly compound sentences.

2. simple sentence - a sentence with a subject and predicate
compound sentence - a sentence containing two independent clauses joined by a conjunction and commas
complex sentence - a sentence with at least one dependent clause
compound complex sentence - a senten ce with two independent clauses and one dependent clause

3. simple- The girl ran ino her room.
compound- My friend invited me to a tea party; my parents didn't let me go.
complex- The students are studying because they have a test tomorrow.
compound complex- The dog lived outside, but the cat, who knew that he was superior, lived in the house.
