Chapter 9 : The Perfect Day

One day, Jess was absolutely happy. His morning started out normal. He woke up and then he milked Miss Bessie. He got into a slight fallout with his sisters. It was like a regular day in the life of Jess Aarons. He had had a thought about Leslie and if she could teach him how to swim in the creek. In the afternoon, May Belle called Jess saying someone was on he phone for him and on the phone was Ms. Edmunds. She wanted to know if he was interested in going with her to a museum. Jess asked his if he can go and she said yes. Jess was real excited to go and couldn't wait. He went to the museum and had a great ime. Adding to his great day. But when he came back home, he seen everyone in the house glum. He then learned something that would change his life forever. " Your girlfriend's dead, mom thought you were too."

This reminds me of when I was in fourth grade and Nobody knew where I was. The night before, I didn't finish my homework and I was trying to avoid getting in trouble. I knew I couldn't stay outside forever, so I had to go to school. When I went to class, my teacher started to go off on me. She turned orange like an orange crayon. When I got home that same afternoon, Mom started to go off on me even more. That was a bad day for me.

Chapter 8 : Easter

Jess and his family had plan to go to church on Easter. Since his mom had a big fallout with the preacher, Easter is the only time Jess and his family actually goes to church. His mom was going shopping for new church clothes, but something happened. Jess' dad came home from Washington early. The family soon learned that he got fired. That meant no new clothes. No church. Everyone was complaining about the situation. Leslie came to see Jess who was the only one not in the house. He told Leslie his dad got fired and didn't want to talk about it. Leslie then told Jess she wanted to go to church with him and his family. Jess was surprised. He thought Leslie wouldn't like something as boring as church.

This reminds me of when my mom lost her job. It was 2005. My mom had her third child a year before. She was home and got a call from her co-worker and friend Silvia. Silvia said that the old man that they took care of had died. He was taken to the hospital and died there. It was tough a little, but we didn,t live like poor people. My little brother's dad helped my mom out with money and soon, my mom got a second job doing the samething, but took care of a Jewish woman name Annie, who is really funny.

HW # 57

I think high school would be harder than middle school . It would be harder work and more work. I might have to stay up late with a lot of homework. I think it would more fun. I might get to do more interesting things in high school. Like participation in different activities. I think it would be an interesting four years.

Yes I think middle school will prepare me for high school. I'm specifically talking about 8th grade. I might learn some things about high school in 6th and 7th grade, but 8th grade is right before high school. So I will learn a lot about high school in 8th grade.

There's not very much that I want to know about high school. I just want to get through with middle school and hurry up and head to high school. A new era in my school life.

HW # 56

Chapter 7 : The Golden Room ( continue )

There is a problem one day at school. Its Janice Avery. Leslie saw her sitting on the toilet seat in the girls room crying. Jess was surprised and shocked. No one has ever seen her cry like that before. Jess' first thought was that people were teasing her about the fake note sent to Willard Hughes, but he knows no one teased her about it before. Leslie decided to go back into the bathroom and find out what's wrong. At the end of the day, Leslie told Jesse that Janice was crying because her dad beats her. She also told Jess that they were having a little chat with Janice and they have become kind of like friends. Jesse was stunned at the whole situation.

I remember when I was in the fourth grade and I started crying one day at lunchtime. I wouldn't tell anybody what was wrong. People kept asking me, but I just would't crack. The only person that got me to talk was the guidance counselor, Ms.Jolly. I had a personal problem and we discussed it together. She even had my mom come in to talk about the problem. She gave me a tip. If I don't want to talk about my problems, I can jot them down in a journal.
